Encanelado
(Cinnamon cake)Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 8 tablespoons sugar
- 5 eggs
- Syrup, prepared with cup sugar and ½ cup water.
- 1 splash Pisco to taste
- 400 gr. Manjarblanco
- 2 tablespoons powdered cinnamon
- ground sugar
Preparation:
- Mix eggs with sugar until they are creamy. Add flour making circles, mix
softly. Once all the ingredients are well-mixed, pour the mixture into a rectangular mold,
which has been previously greased.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 175 °C
- Leave it cool. Once cold, cut it in half.
- Prepare a soft syrup adding Pisco to taste and pouring it over the cake.
Stuff it with manjarblanco.
- Mix cinnamon with sugar and sprinkle it.
