 Tourism:

It has several natural attractions and
vestiges of early ages like the Kuelap's Fortress (150 KM of Chachapoyas) and the
"pongos" (door in Quechua) of Rentema and Manseriche. Besides, the Comaina's
canyons with its vegetation of large trees which branches cover the bed of river, and the
Utcubamba's interandean canyons which have incomparable beautiful landscapes. In the
Highway to San Martín, the Pomacocha's Lagoon has a Tourist Hotel and constitutes one of
the natural attractions of the department.
In the Eastern Cordillera where the Marañón passes
through, the hunting and fishing can be practiced due to the extensive variety of species
found in this place.
