Tourism:

San Martín offers a great diversity of natural attractions for adventure trippings, hunting and fishing. It has navigable rivers, lagoons, thermal baths, waterfalls, and ruins such as that of the Gran Pajatén, in the Pataz Town (Province of Mariscal Cáceres), discovered by Gene Savoy. The Oasis, touristic center located at the right bank of the Cumbaza River, has sport fields and dancing stages.

The Petroglifos of Polish are located 8.5 KM away from the City of Tarapoto. The surroundings hold a number of archaeologic remains, animal and plant vestiges, and some linguistic symbols engraved in stone blocks. We can also mention the beautiful Sauce Lake, located to 16 KM from the right bank of the river with the same name. The lake has comfortable hostelries which provide an easy stay for the visitors.
