Tourist
cooperation with Argentina
(Peru.com)
The Peruvian government ratified the agreement
on Cooperation and Sustainable Development signed
with Argentina. This document was signed in
our country on September 7 by the vice president
and Minister of Industry and Tourism Raul Diez
Canseco, and by the Argentinian Secretary of
Tourism, Hernan Santiago Lombardi.
Through this agreement, Peru and Argentina will
engage to promote favorable conditions in order
to increase the number of tourist trips to both
countries. To achieve that objective, both governments
will provide their citizens great facilities,
in addition to appropriate assistance. Tourist,
cultural and natural attractions will be disseminated,
cooperation in the private tourist field will
be encouraged and initiatives will be supported.
Likewise, official sources informed that both
countries have engaged to carry out an exchange
of information about policies of sustainable
development in tourism. They will share experiences
in the management of tourist attractions and
flows, the incorporation of new offers and the
development of this activity.
According to the information published in the
official newspaper El Peruano, the
ratification of the agreement replaces the agreement
on tourism signed by Peru and Argentina on May
25, 1968.
