Government to put out to tender eight electricity companies

(Peru.com) In the next year's first quarter, the Commission for the Promotion of Private Investments (COPRI) will sell eight public electricity companies. The tenders will be officially called this month.

COPRI's executive director, Pedro Sanchez, informed that the first tender would be to sell the electricity companies Hidroandina, Electro Centro, Electro Norte and Electro Sur.

The second tender will be for Egasa and Egesur, while the third for the transmitter companies Electro Norte and Electro Nor-Oeste.

Finally, Sanchez said that by the end of the year it would not be reached the objective of the $500-million revenue, although Electroandes company would be sell.
