President Toledo to meet with businessmen in annual conference

(Peru.com) President Alejandro Toledo will inaugurate the Annual Conference of Businessmen 2001 (CADE), where he will speak about his first 100 days of his administration. The head of state will set forth the first results obtained from the government's economic and social program.
Several ministers are also expected to give speeches during the CADE 2001.

The economy minister, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, will give a speech on Friday about "The State's proposal to promote competitiveness and investment". The industry minister, Raul Diez Canseco, will speak about "The agenda of the tourism sector", and the Prime Minister, Roberto Dañino, will be in charge of closing the CADE 2001 on Sunday.
After his speech, Toledo is expected to travel, in the afternoon, to the United States, where he will take part of the UN General Assembly, to be held in New York.
While in that country, the head of state will meet with the presidents of Brazil, Fernando Henrique Cardoso; of Colombia, Andres Pastrana; and the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan.

He will also meet with the Peruvian and Latin American community in a conference he will offer at the auditorium of New York University.
